Mission Statement

The New Harmony Artists Guild brings together a diverse group of artists, organizations, and
supportive citizens. We create a climate to practice & make art, share ideas & expertise, and
advocate for all the arts.

Core Values

Within every soul is a latent desire to create. The Artists Guild encourages the flow of all
types of expression and art-making—without prejudice. To this end, we seek to provide the
coordination of ideas, events, and concepts, along with the sharing of resources, spaces, and
conversations.

We recognize that a healthy town is one in which the growth, influence, and vitality of the
arts creates collective aesthetic development. This energy contributes to the financial health
and social well-being of all involved and inspires residents and visitors alike.

The New Harmony Artists Guild represents a diverse group of artists, organizations, and
supportive citizens who come together to carry the legacy of the arts into the future. We
promote intergenerational learning and enhancement of the arts in New Harmony, Posey
County, and Southwestern Indiana. We are keen to link local, regional, national, and
international constituencies with what we do.
